National public awareness campaign ‘smoke detectors save lives’

In the year 2000 nobody in Germany wanted to hear about smoke detectors. Expensive classical advertising campaigns had been tried to little effect. In the midst of this discouraging situation, eobiont developed an integrated marketing approach under contract from a cooperation of several industry associations.

The results have been spectacular. Five years later, following continued exponential sales growth and solid media presence, laws requiring smoke detectors have been passed in five states and others are well on their way.
